John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him… So when did He begin to love us? Is it when we repented or acknowledged that we were sinners?

We all have heard the story of the prodigal son dozens of times.  Our elders/pastors always focus on how dumb the son was and how terrible his sin was. But what strikes me the most in Luke chapter 15 is "Heart of Good Daddy". 

God’s amazing love is not based on us getting our act together to deserve it. It is not based on our track record of performance to guarantee its continued flow. Rather, God’s love is based on the fact that God is love (1 John 4:7).

Forgiveness does not come in installments but is given to us as a gift! You have been completely and eternally forgiven on account of Jesus. You need to settle this in your heart otherwise you’ll be tossed and turned by every mixed-up teaching.
